Louisiana Republican Party Political Director Leaves Post to Join Jeff Landry for Congress Campaign

Landry Announces Additional Campaign Team Members

LOUISIANA’S 3RD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT – Conservative, Republican candidate for Congress in Louisiana’s 3rd Congressional District Jeff Landry today announced key members of his campaign team.

Joining the campaign as Campaign Manager is Phillip Joffrion who recently left his post as Political Director of the Louisiana Republican Party where he worked for approximately two years.

As the Louisiana Republican Party’s Political Director, Joffrion coordinated Republican Party efforts with federal, state, and local candidates; directed party interactions with local Republican organizations including voter registration, outreach, candidate recruitment, and development and managed statewide grassroots efforts including the Party’s 72 Hour program.

Prior to the Louisiana Republican Party, Phillip served as a Regional Field Director for Governor Bobby Jindal’s campaign for Governor. For Governor Jindal, Phillip handled political operations in two regions including in the Bayou. He managed a regional office with 3 staff, more than 30 interns and hundreds of volunteers. He planned and organized door-to-door and phone bank activities for Governor Jindal and represented Bobby at regional events.

Phillip also served his nation in uniform as Petty Officer 3rd Class Aviation Ordnanceman, United States Navy for nearly three years and led weapons evolutions for Strike Fighter Squadron 34 and a team of 10 for arm/de-arm evolutions for Carrier Air Wing 17 aboard the USS John F. Kennedy during Operation Iraqi Freedom prior to moving back home to Louisiana. Phillip has been a student at LSU.

“Phillip has served Governor Jindal and the Louisiana Republican Party well in his political work fighting for our conservative values and our nation during in his time in uniform. He will be a valuable member of our team,” said Jeff Landry. Campaign Consultant Brent Littlefield, who also worked for Bobby Jindal’s campaign for Governor added, “Phillip is politically smart and detail orientated.”

An experienced community organizer, Jim Wyche has joined Jeff’s team as a Regional Director. Jim is well known in Iberia Parish and surrounding area serving the community as Director of Outreach Ministries for First United Methodist Church, as the Executive Director for Iberia’s Habitat for Humanity and as the CEO of Rebuild Iberia, Inc. Jim is the Chairman of the Iberia Parish Republican Executive Committee.

Regional Director Leilani Hardee also came on board within the last month. Leilani is a Member of the Republican Party of Louisiana’s State Central Committee, and a member of the LAGOP Rules Committee. She serves on the Hospital Board for Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. She worked as a staff member for Bobby Jindal’s Campaign for Governor working in St. Marty, Lafourche, Assumption and Terrebonne Parishes. She also served as the Field Director for State Representative Joe Harrison’s campaign. Leilani was an Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention. She has attended Nicholls University for Political Science and History.

Landry’s staff announcements come on the heels of his campaign picking up steam throughout the 3rd District with the release of his first radio ad, his announcement video and his impressive finance total of nearly $300,000 taken in over less than four months through March 31.
