Liberal and career politicians – the President, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid – have spent our nation into record deficits and debt. They were helped along the way by politicians who call themselves conservatives but who vote like liberals.
In many cases the best thing our government can do to create jobs is to get out of the way and let the entrepreneurship and the free market principles that our nation was founded upon to thrive.
Despite poll after poll showing the American people did not support government regulations and mandates intended to shift our nation toward nationalized health care, the President and liberals in Congress marched down that path.
It was evident that the people who were in Congress at that time did not fight hard enough to stop it.
Bailouts of private businesses changed the nature of our free market system. They corrupted our free market system by rewarding the irresponsible and penalizing the responsible.
I am Pro-Life. I believe life is a gift from God. I support efforts to end all federal funding of abortion. We must ensure we permanently ban partial-birth abortion. We should encourage adoption, not abortion.
The way to successfully end the war on terrorism is to win the war. We must ensure that our nation remains free and that we protect our citizens from acts of terrorism.
